This was my first computer hardware project. it was made from a bic cigerette lighter. fiberglass resin was used to coat the knurled thumb wheel. a light sanding left the surface with alternating patches of resin and metal. a copper contact on the wheel pulsed a 9 volt battery connected to the TRS-80 cassette port. O-rings were added to grip the blueprints better. It worked well
